President Trump denies telling Bolton Ukraine aid was tied to investigations

The New York Times reported Sunday evening that Bolton wrote in the manuscript of his upcoming book, titled “The Room Where It Happened,” that Trump said during an August meeting that he wanted to continue a freeze on the nearly $400 million in security aid for Ukraine until the government there agreed to investigate Biden and other Democrats.

The revelation in the book directly contradicts the White House’s insistence that the president did not explicitly connect the security aid and investigations.

An attorney representing Bolton said he delivered the manuscript to the White House on Dec. 30 to be reviewed for classified information, a process he said had been “corrupted.” The attorney stopped short of confirming the contents of the Times’s report.

President Donald Trump claimed Monday morning that he “NEVER” communicated to John Bolton that hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine were conditioned on foreign probes into his domestic political rivals.

“I NEVER told John Bolton that the aid to Ukraine was tied to investigations into Democrats, including the Bidens,” Trump tweeted. “In fact, he never complained about this at the time of his very public termination. If John Bolton said this, it was only to sell a book.”

MSNBC’s Alison Morris accused of using the ‘N’ word while reporting on the death of Kobe Bryant

Alison Morris was anchoring the cable network’s coverage of the tragic death of Kobe Bryant on Sunday afternoon when she stumbled upon the name of the late basketball legend’s former NBA team, the Lakers.

Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people killed when his private helicopter crashed in the hills of Calabasas, California, on Sunday morning.

While paying tribute to Bryant, Morris said he was ‘perfectly cast on the Los Angeles n*****s.’

Now the crazies are out for blood. Here’s the link to a petition to have MSNBC’s Alison Morris fired. So freaking ridiculous. People need to get a grip.

Alison did have a few come to her defense.

Morris later took to Twitter and denied that she said the N-word.

Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say “Nakers”,’ Morris tweeted on Sunday.

Trump attorney accuses Dems of trying to interfere in 2020

White House counsel Pat Cipollone emphasized the gravity of the Senate impeachment trial proceedings and accused Democrats of trying to undo the 2016 presidential election – and interfere with the 2020 contest.

“They’re asking you to do something very, very consequential and … very, very dangerous,” Cipollone said. “They’re asking you not only to overturn the results of the last election but … asking you to remove President Trump from the ballot in an election that’s occurring in approximately nine months. They’re asking you to tear up all of the ballots across this country” and “take that decision away from the American people.”

Mike Purpura, deputy counsel to President Donald Trump, began by trying to undermine the credibility of Rep. Adam Schiff, the California Democrat and House Intelligence Committee chairman who led the impeachment inquiry.

He played a clip of Schiff reading the supposed transcript of Trump’s now infamous July 25 phone call with Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky. In the clip, Schiff appears to exaggerate the substance of the call – in what he later said was a “parody” – and suggested Trump had directly asked his Ukrainian counterpart for “dirt” on a political opponent.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, one of eight House lawmakers who are part of Trump’s defense team, told reporters Friday that the team is “very confident” because all of the facts are on the president’s side.

“I think this case is open and shut for the president,” Jordan said.
